“Stafford: Blueprint for Success,” a 30″ x 40″ original painting on museum-quality canvas by sports artist Edgar J. Brown. Matthew Stafford stands locked and ready to throw, flanked by two protective linemen, as SoFi Stadium rises behind him under the lights. The entire scene erupts through a jagged tear in a deep-blue architectural blueprint — hand-lettered with the franchise’s history, play diagrams and championship milestones — as if the Ram has broken clean through the wall to reveal the moment of execution.
The blueprint is the idea of the piece: strategy rendered as a drawing, then torn open by the play itself. Along the left margin the drawing carries the franchise record — Cleveland 1936, the 1945 and 1951 championships, the move to Los Angeles, Fred Gehrke’s 1948 hand-painted helmet horns (the first painted logo in pro football), St. Louis and Super Bowl XXXIV, the return to Los Angeles, SoFi Stadium, and Super Bowl LVI. Four titles in three cities — a record no other NFL franchise holds.
