“A Great Eagle with Great Wings” – My Painting of Carson Wentz

“A great eagle with great wings…” — Ezekiel 17:3

That powerful verse inspired my tribute to one of the NFL’s most impactful quarterbacks — Carson Wentz, during his time with the Philadelphia Eagles. This painting was **hand-painted by me, sports artist Edgar J. Brown**, to honor not just Carson’s talents on the field, but his heart, humility, and faith off of it.

 About Carson Wentz

Drafted second overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, Carson Wentz quickly became the leader of the Eagles and a beloved figure in Philadelphia. He helped guide the team to an 11–2 record in the 2017 season, setting the stage for a historic Super Bowl LII victory. Off the field, Carson is equally known for his strong Christian faith and his charitable work through the AO1 Foundation, which focuses on uplifting communities and serving those in need.

This original painting — inspired by the strength, grace, and purpose Carson brought to the game — was handcrafted in my studio and later released as a Limited Edition Fine Art Print, officially licensed by the NFL and the NFLPA, and included in the Deacon Jones Foundation art initiative, which uses art to fund youth education and mentorship programs.

Charity Collaboration with the AO1 Foundation

As part of this meaningful project, 11 fine art posters of the painting were created specifically for Carson Wentz’s AO1 Foundation. Each poster was personally autographed by both Carson and myself, and auctioned off to raise funds for the foundation’s mission. It was an incredible honor to contribute to a cause so deeply rooted in compassion and faith — values that Carson exemplifies every day.
